Sr Scientist
Illumina
Jason Rostron is a senior scientist at Illumina working in NGS clinical assay development. Focus at Illumina has been on enrichment based assays such as the TruSight Oncology 500 assay (TSO500), which is intended to provide comprehensive genomic profiling from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) solid tumors. Poster TT064 will be highlighting multiple ultrasonicators that TSO500 customers may use to begin the workflow for DNA samples extracted from FFPE tissue.
Prior to arriving at Illumina in 2015, he was at a Microbial Genetics lab at San Diego State University (SDSU). Jason completed his Masters degree in Microbiology in 2011 at SDSU.
