Dartmouth Health
Sophie J. Deharvengt, PhD, is a Genomic Analyst in the Laboratory for Clinical Genomics and Advanced Technology (CGAT) at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Sophie completed her B.Sc. and her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Louis Pasteur University in France, as well as a post-doc at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She has focused her research on identifying and characterizing new experimental molecular medicine, such as the development of new targets and delivery methods for gene therapy as well as the development of therapeutic antibodies. After joining the CGAT lab, her role has included evaluating, validating, and performing new next generation sequencing assays on multiple sequencing platforms, and also developing quality control metrics throughout the NGS workflow. Sophie was part of the cervical cancer prevention and screening project in Honduras and helped operationalize a new PCR-based HPV screening methodology. She also implemented and validated an automated NGS library preparation workflow, as well as evaluated different assays for cfDNA somatic variant detection.
