Creative Senior Research Scientist/Manager with a strong background in cancer biology and extensive experience in laboratory research, project management, publication, grant writing and collaboration. Seeking to leverage expertise in plan, coordinate, and direct research activities, publications, grants, and other projects including target validation, annotation to biomarker call, analytics, and cross-functional teamwork to contribute to the Precision Oncology . Adept at leading research and development teams in the assay development area.
Currently, as a Senior Research Scientist, lead and execute laboratory experiments to validate targets for cancer therapeutics, resulting in the identification of novel biomarkers and potential treatment candidates.Develop and oversee project initiatives to drive scientific advancements, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to align research goals with institutional objectives.Supervise and mentor graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and laboratory staff, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Laboratory Information Systems.Implement and develop SOPs to optimize research processes, including the integration of innovative platforms and approaches for enhanced data collection and analysis.Collaborate with vendors and external partners to implement cutting-edge methodologies, leveraging institutional resources and systems to streamline workflow and integration.
Strategically manage budgets and resources, contributing to effective purchase of laboratory reagents and equipment for the target validation team.
Maintain rigorous procedures and protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of research conducted within the validation team.
Additionally, as highly degree team member I supervise and lead Lab technician and master students who may be involved in specific technology associated with our validation project. I am also involved in data analysis, transmission accuracy report, reagents verification, equipment and instrument maintenance, instrument troubleshooting and data comparisons of our CLIA/CAP laboratory.
