PhD student
University of California Santa Cruz
My name is Vikas Peddu and I am a fourth year PhD student in Daniel Kim's lab in the UC Santa Cruz department of Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics. I am passionate about liquid biopsy research as it pertains to cell-free RNA and metagenomics. In my research I investigate abberant splicing in the context of lung and pancreatic cancers using a combination of Illumina and Nanopore sequencing.
