Anooja Rai, MSc, is a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor at the Center for Advanced Molecular Diagnostics (CAMD) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Anooja graduated from National University of Singapore in Life Sciences, specializing in Biomedical Sciences. Following which, she received her master’s degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Biomedical Forensic Sciences, specializing in Forensic DNA.
Anooja has been at CAMD for 4.5 years progressing from a Technologist I to embracing a leadership role in 2021 as a Supervisor. The Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory has a test menu that includes approximately 22 single gene tests and two next generation sequencing panels, namely the Rapid Heme Panel and OncoPanel. The laboratory prides itself in providing quality diagnostics results to patients while keeping a low turnaround time.
As a Clincial Laboratorty Supervisor, Anooja is highly motivated to improving workflow and assay design within the laboratory while keeping up with emerging technologies in the field of clinical genetics and molecular diagnostics.
