Fellow, Molecular Genetic Pathology
Harvard University Combined Fellowship Program
Alexander J. Neil MD/PhD is a Molecular Genetics Pathology Fellow at the Harvard University Combined MGP Fellowship Program. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Molecular Biology, where he studied transcription-coupled nucleotide excision repair and received his medical and doctoral degrees from Tufts University, where he studied replication-independent mechanisms of structural variation at microsatellites. His academic interests include the impact of DNA repair deficiencies on therapeutic efficacy in solid tumors and the detection of therapeutic biomarkers in situ. He will be completing a fellowship in Women's and Perinatal Pathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in the 2024 academic year.
