Aimee Boerger, MLS(ASCP) is a Senior Developer within the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She graduated with a degree in Biology from Luther College in 2010 and completed her certification in Medical Laboratory Science following an internship at the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences in 2011. Prior to her current role in Molecular Hematopathology, Aimee held various positions in the Virology/Parasitology Laboratory over the course of 10 years, including Medical Laboratory Scientist, Quality Specialist, and Technical Specialist II. She has experience with numerous molecular techniques including nucleic acid extraction, qualitative and quantitative real-time PCR, transcription-mediated amplification, droplet digital PCR, and Sanger sequencing. Aimee most recently developed a droplet digital PCR assay for quantitative detection of mutations associated with VEXAS syndrome.
