Igor Odintsov, MD, is a thoracic pathology fellow in the Department of Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, in Boston, MA. He completed his medical studies at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. During that time, he discovered his passion for molecular pathology through a laboratory course that evolved into a three-year research internship. After medical school, Dr. Odintsov completed a post-doctorate fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, in New York City, working on drug development and cancer biology in Dr. Marc Ladanyi’s laboratory. His work helped bring novel therapeutics to the clinical trial stage investigation, including an anti-HER3 antibody seribantumab and a RET-specific tyrosine kinase inhibitor vepafestinib. Dr. Odintsov is currently completing his training in anatomic pathology, with an interest in thoracic pathology and molecular pathology.
