Adam Walker M.A. is a research analyst at the Ruggles lab in the Institute of Systems Genetics at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine under the guidance of Dr. Kelly Ruggles PhD. He joined the lab as a staff researcher shortly after graduating from the NYU Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical sciences with a Masters degree in Biomedical Informatics. He had previously obtained a BS of Biomedical Engineering from the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. He then worked three exciting years in the Neuropathology department at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles completing various imaging and sequencing based projects on better understanding pediatric brain cancer. During his time in the NYU Biomeidcal informatics Masters program, he completed molecular pathology research under Dr. Matija Snuderl M.D., the director of Molecular Pathology at the NYU Langone Hospital department of Pathology. He has continued working with Dr. Snuderl on various methylation based analysis projects including the research presented here at AMP.
