Elizabeth McCready PhD, FCCMG is a Professor in the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University and a Laboratory Scientist within the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) Genetics Laboratories, Hamilton Health Sciences. She is certified as a clinical laboratory geneticist in both molecular genetics and cytogenetics. Her clinical laboratory work and research interests has two primary focuses: 1) genetic variants contributing to congenital and developmental abnormalities and 2) molecular genetic biomarkers in cancer. Research is largely translational in nature with a goal to develop and implement molecular cytogenomic technologies that improve diagnostic, prognostic and predictive utility of genetic testing.
