Dr. Will A. Overholt is a senior bioinformatician with more than ten years experience in computational and experimental microbiology. He currently leads the Applied Bioinformatics Laboratory (ABiL) in providing tailored bioinformatic solutions and work force development training at the intersection between public health, epidemiology, and computational microbiology. ABiL is a collaboration between Georgia Tech, ASRT Inc., and IHRC Inc. and strives to stay on the forefront of bioinformatics innovation in order to integrate cutting edge solutions into our work. Will received his BS from Florida State University and his PhD in Bioinformatics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to joining ABiL, Will conducted post-doctoral research at Friedrich Schiller University in Germany, addressing groundwater microbial ecology and environmental meta-omics.
