Aaron D. Bossler, MD, PhD is a clinical professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Iowa and member of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. He serves as the Director of the Molecular Pathology Laboratory and the Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship Program. He is involved in coding, coverage, and reimbursement issues and is a member of the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) Economic Affairs Committee, the AMA Proprietary Laboratory Assay Technical Advisory Group, the Medicare Advisory Group for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services and has been a member of the AMA Molecular Pathology Advisory Group. He serves as the AMP representative to the CAP Pathology Coding Caucus and on the editorial board for The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics. His research interests center on the role of HPV infection in the development of cancer and the development of new molecular diagnostic assays.
