Joyce Nicola, MT(ASCP)MB cm is the Laboratory Supervisor of the Molecular Diagnostics Department at West Virginia University Hospital. Being a West Virginia native, she has worked at West Virginia University Hospital for 24 years. The beginning part of her career was in hematology, flow cytometry, and blood bank. For the past 13 years, she has been building the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory's menu: Molecular Pathology and Molecular Microbiology. Currently, the department is building their Next GenerationSequencing menu to include somatic and germline testing.
