Session Description: An AMP Working Group with representation from CAP and ASCO has created a provider-friendly reporting template for molecular biomarkers detected using NSCLC as a pilot. Balancing the needs of the provider, pathologist, molecular professional, and other medical professionals in an oncology report is a challenge that faces laboratorians daily. This session will discuss the development of the template, gather attendee feedback, and discuss a clinical practice implementation opportunity. This project was funded by unrestricted educational grants from AstraZeneca and Daiichi-Sanyko.
Learning Objectives:
Discuss previous and ongoing AMP-led efforts to improve molecular biomarker reporting
Identify report components that can be modified to provide a more provider-friendly report
Discuss the importance of clear and comprehensive molecular biomarker reports to all consumers - patients, laboratorians, pathologists, clinicians
