Vanessa is a Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellow at Duke University. She completed her AP/CP residency at Duke University, her MD at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria, and her Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at UCLA. She recently completed the Neuropathology fellowship at Duke University.
She is a former junior member on the College of American Pathologists (CAP)/American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) Biochemical and Molecular Genetics Committee and a current Junior Member on the American Association of Neuropathologists Website Committee.
Her current research interests include the genomic and epigenetic characteristics of central nervous system tumors and the use of next generation sequencing-based technologies in the clinical characterization of neuropathologic conditions.
