I am Ms Pooja Vaid, a graduate student from Ashoka University, India. I am currently working on my thesis project, “Molecular and Cellular Profiling of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer in an Indian Cohort” under the co-supervision of Prof LS Shashidhara and Dr Madhura Kulkarni. My focus has been on uncovering the unique clinical and molecular characteristics of Indian TNBCs for better disease management using the biobank at CTCR Pune. Pursuing a Ph.D. enriched with collaboration with multiple institutes, hospitals, and centers has made me appreciate the fact science cannot be pursued alone and that solid teamwork and an interdisciplinary approach are needed to tackle the current issues in cancer management.
