Ramakrishna Sompallae is the Director of Clinical Bioinformatics and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Iowa. In his role, he leads a team that focuses on bioinformatics and helps the molecular pathology lab develop clinical tests using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology. Before joining the University of Iowa, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Bioinformatics at Harvard School of Public Health. He also obtained his PhD in computational biology from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
