Richard Wong is a hematopathologist and molecular pathologist in the department of Pathology at the University of San Diego California. He received his MD and PhD from Tufts University and completed his AP/CP residency, hematopathology, and molecular genetic pathology fellowships at the University of California San Diego. His clinical roles include signout of hematopathology cases and molecular assays. His academic interests include emerging molecular methods of characterizing hematolymphoid neoplasms and how these methods can be deployed in the clinical lab. Other activities include participation on the CAP/ACMG Biochemical and Molecular Genetics Committee and consulting for local biotech companies.
