Mayo Clinic
Michael B Campion is a Senior Developer at Mayo Clinic. Michael received a BS degree from Winona State University in Cell Biology, and with a minor in Biochemistry. Michael works in Translation Research, Innovation, and Test Development Office, partnering with Laboratory Genetics and Genomics at Mayo Clinic. Michael is currently developing NGS assays using circulating tumor DNA for oncology testing. Over the last 20 plus years, Michael has worked on development of multiple assays: cell free DNA RT-PCR, cell free DNA droplet digital PCR, and most recently cell free DNA NGS. Michael has also spent time investigating the use of circulating tumor cells for oncology testing. Through his time at Mayo, he has enjoyed the challenges of bringing new “liquid biopsy” assays into the laboratory.
