Xinxiu (Cindy) Xu is a clinical genomic scientist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she oversees the genomic sequencing pipeline in the Genetics and Genomics Diagnostic Laboratory. She earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, focusing on the application of sequencing technologies for rare disease diagnosis. Cindy analyzes complex genomic data to identify disease-causing variants and provide clinical interpretation to guide patient diagnosis and treatment. Cindy also helped launch the exome-based genetic testing at Cincinnati Children's. She is passionate about connecting genomics to clinical practice and enjoys mentoring trainees.
