Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx)/Labcorp Oncology
Andrew Georgiadis, MS is a staff scientist at Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx)/Labcorp Oncology where he leads the research group as part of the larger research and development team. He has been with the organization for 7 years as a contributor, innovator, and troubleshooter in both bioinformatic and wet bench activities including design, development, data analysis, and implementation of multiple next generation sequencing (NGS)-based cancer diagnostic assays. Before starting at PGDx/Labcorp, he earned his BA in biology from the College of Wooster in Wooster, OH and his MS in bioinformatics from Boston University in Boston, MA. His previous experience is in academic laboratories at both The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Harvard Medical School where he studied the genetics of male infertility and cell communication/pathway crosstalk. He is from Pittsburgh, PA and currently lives in Baltimore, MD with his wife, Casey, and dog, Sully.
