Dr. Abu-El-Haija is a general geneticist at Boston Children's hospital, with special interests in overgrowth syndromes, vascular anomalies, cancer predisposition syndromes, Kabuki syndrome, and conditions with developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder. She is currently the Clinical director of International Genetics program that welcomes patients from all over the world to be seen in our division at Boston Children's Hospital, and the Co-director of Kabuki Program, with a distinguished team of scientists that collectively study how to manage this condition. Dr. Abu-El-Haija enjoys teaching residents and fellows, active ACMG member, and has been participating in national genetic meetings annually to continue to learn and provide insight into what she considers the rapidly evolving field of medical genetics.
