Dr. Jamal Benhamida is a molecular pathologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He received his BS in Computer Science and Bioinformatics at UC San Diego and his MD at The University of Chicago, after which he went on to do his anatomic and clinical pathology (AP/CP) residency at UC San Francisco and then his molecular genetic pathology (MGP) fellowship and clinical informatics training at Memorial Sloan Kettering where he then joined the faculty in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. He is board certified in AP/CP, MGP, and clinical informatics. His work has focused on clinical informatic education course development, validation and clinical deployment of artificial intelligence based clinical assays using genome-wide methylation data, and the research application of machine learning techniques to molecular data.
