Hamed Rahi, PhD is a fellow in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics at Washington University in St. Louis. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Minnesota before earning his PhD in Human Genetics at Howard University. His research focused on the epigenetics of colorectal carcinoma. After his graduate studies, Hamed completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Biomarker Discovery Laboratory in the Mayo Clinic, where he used next-generation sequencing data to study DNA alterations in prostate cancer patients. He then worked in various clinical cytogenetics laboratories for several years.
